The particularly impressive location at the end of the valley, the large volumes of water and the extraordinary drop height of 380 m over three steps make the Krimml waterfalls an impressive natural spectacle and Europe’s largest waterfalls. They are also the fifth highest waterfalls in the world. Anyone visiting the province of Salzburg should visit this amazing spectacle, the Krimml Waterfalls.
With about 400,000 visitors per year, the Krimmel waterfalls are among the top 10 most visited attractions in Austria.
A 4 km long path created by the Austrian Alpine Association (ÖAV), with its numerous viewpoints and pulpits, leads up close to the natural spectacle of the Krimml Waterfalls. In just a 10 – 15 minutes walk from the parking lot, you will reach the lowest waterfall.
